Who should consider the MME?
Prerequisites for the Program
Enrollment in the program is open only to individuals currently employed (or who have accepted an employment offer) by the University of Iowa (includes UI Healthcare). Criteria for admission will include:
- Satisfactory performance on required professional exams such as the MCAT, GRE
- Successful completion of a terminal degree (e.g. MSW, PharmD, MD, PhD)
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the educational mission of the college
Faculty who are not physicians but DO meet the admissions requirements are encouraged to apply.

Application Process
In addition, applicants will submit:
- Letter of support from the individual's department head (or residency/fellowship director)
- One additional letter of reference
- Personal statement
