Kashelle Lockman, PharmD., M.A.
Dr. Lockman joined OCRME in 2024. Prior to joining OCRME, she was faculty at the College of Pharmacy for 8 years in the SOLACE Palliative Care Collaborative, where she co-directed a teaching certificate for pharmacy residents, co-designed and directed a palliative care certificate for pharmacy students, and practiced as a palliative care pharmacist with the UIHC Supportive and Palliative Care team.
Dr. Lockman has received several awards for her efforts as an educator, including the 2019 American College of Clinical Pharmacy New Educator of the Year, 2020 University of Iowa PharmD Class of 2021 Teacher of the Year, 2021 UI College of Pharmacy Faculty Preceptor Excellence Award, 2023 University of Iowa PharmD Class of 2024 Teacher of the Year, and a 2023 UI Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology ICON All Star award. In 2019, she was selected for the Cambia Health Foundation Sojourns Scholar Leadership Program, which has supported her in leading development of entrustable professional activities for palliative care pharmacists and designing a curricular toolkit to teach palliative care.
